My husband and I are not Chinese but both of our daughters were adopted from China. Over the years we have tried to honor the land of their birth by incorporating some elements of Chinese culture into our life. We celebrate Chinese New Year by eating dumplings. My oldest daughter enjoys Chinese Folk dance and both my daughters are learning Mandarin in school.
To commemorate this New Year, I decided to post pictures of some of the Chinese artifacts that have found there way into our home. Some are things I had before my children, some are things we got in China when we adopted our daughters and some are things we have collected since.
