The Lovin' Spoonful
the Grand Ole Opry.
The Grand Ole Opry Theater is located outside downtown Nashville in basically its own country: Opryland. In addition to the theater, there is a huge convention center, large hotels, what looked like medical clinic and it is adjacent to a very large mall.
What is interesting about the Grand Ole Opry, is that it is not just a concert but also a live radio broadcast. In fact, it is the longest running broadcast in U.S. radio history. During the show, in between the acts, there are commercials by the shows sponsors. They also announce birthdays and anniversaries and there are welcomes to various groups in attendance. Another fun thing they do is little contests with members of the audience.
The show itself is a showcase of various artists. There is a nice mix of old timers and new comers so there is something for everyone.
Have a fun day!
