I think to some extent, we are all creatures of habit in some way. When things change it somehow throws us off a bit. Right now, that is where I'm at. For the first time in ten years I don't have to drive anyone to school. This means that it is conceivable there will be days when I wont even have to get in my car!
While having a routine can be either a blessing (definition #1) or a curse (definition #2) for me the routine of getting up and taking a child or two to school was an automatic way of getting me started with what I had to do. Now I have to find a new way to get started. This is both disconcerting and exciting. It also raises the possibility of not even having a routine. I guess time will tell.
