During the summer, I spent a lot of time working outside in the garden, lost 10 pounds and did a lot of soul searching about what I really want to be doing with my time.
One thing I realized was that I no longer want to continue my Kid's clothing business. I found out that while I love the creative aspect of it, all the work involved in listing the items, marketing and promoting them was just not what I wanted to do. I did maintain a vigorous show schedule in the fall, but that was also not as much fun as it had been in the past.
So this year I will be wrapping up that business, but that leaves me with a dilemma: what to do next. I am at heart a maker. One of the reasons I started my clothing business was because I wanted to make things but did not want to keep them all. Now I have to find new types of things to make. So that is my search for now.
Another thing I realized was how much I missed working outside in the garden. Now that my husband is going to be fully retired, I have some "muscle" to help me with some more ambitious projects.
I hope to get back into writing this blog and sharing with you some of our projects. In the meantime:
Have a fun day!
